Un pizzico di Liberty
Tarantelle, serenate, mazurke and songs with programmatic and evocative titles testify to a multicoloured world particularly oriented to exoticism, a theme so dear to the artists of the time.
Alongside Pietro Mascagni, names of lesser known but certainly not less inspired composers come together in this musical path, which has Italy as its common denominator. Raffaele Calace, Carlo Munier, Giovanni Caramiello, Salvator Leonardi, Laurent Fantauzzi from Marseille and Eduardo Mezzacapo, all composers-instrumentalists who, knowing perfectly the possibilities of the instruments chosen, through their means of expression lead us into a lesser known undergrowth that will not fail to surprise us.
The intention of the Duo is to recreate as much as possible a harp and mandolin language adhering to an Italian tradition that recalls the great mandolinists and harpists of the past.
A clear, spicy, bold and sincere sound combined with a bel canto expressiveness characteristic of the Belpaese.
